CREATIVE WRITING AND BLOGGING: OH, MY!

Before I was writing content in my professional life, I started writing as a creative outlet. Mostly I enjoyed writing about my interests: food, music, health and wellness.
As a young professional, I came accross the opportunity to write for Metroland Media's Inside Toronto as a blogger. I wrote about finding gourmet food on a budget. My pseudonym was the Gourmet Frugalista.

Diply.com is a social news and entertainment community dedicated to connecting audiences with the content they love to consume. As a content writer on the Life team, I write articles oriented towards women ages 25 - 35 about the day to day trials and tribulations of being a woman on both funny and serious matters.

Naked Underground was my passion project. It was an entertainment website about local underground music, food and culture. It started out as a joint venture between myself and a friend in Montreal but quickly grew to two separate sites with small teams of enthusiastic students. I would write, edit, ideate, and organize research and content. The small team would attend concerts, events and write about what was passionate most to them. It was a creative space open to opinions where young writers found their voice.
